Dale W. Davis

President

While a student at the University of Delaware, Dale W. Davis, worked his way through college developing the Maintenance and Construction groups for Rodel Inc., a Newark start-up that manufactured materials to polish silicon wafers for computer chips.
Upon graduation, Dale took leadership of those functions, and supervised the growth of the manufacturing facilities, managing the construction of 16 plants in Newark and around the world and employing 1,700 people.

After the sale of Rodel to Rohm & Haas in 1998, Dale formed CMI Electric, Inc. Shortly thereafter, the company started troubleshooting and repairing failed PV installations in the region. This led to installing systems sold through manufacturers, and eventually to turnkey PV design and installations.

Today, CMI employs licensed electricians, certified PV installers, engineers and even an in-house REC aggregator, to ensure the highest level of customer service, before and after an installation.

A strong believer in the need to train the next generation, Dale makes sure there are always apprentice and co-op positions available at CMI for young technicians eager to learn the trade. At CMI Solar Electric, the learning never stops, as illustrated by Dale's example of having been one of the first Master Electricians to become a NABCEP Certified PV installer.

Andrew Faulkner

Operations Manager

Andrew Faulkner has been with CMI Solar Electric, Inc. for more than six years and has been working as a licensed electrician for five of his six years.  Andrew came to CMI with experience in corporate banking finance and as an electrical contractor, and had been a private business owner. His past experiences strengthened his customer service skills and sharpened his eye for detail.

Andrew's responsibilities include management of the electrical and solar crews, as well as scheduling, electrical bidding and job design of solar commercial and residential projects.  Andrew is a working field supervisor and ensures all jobs are completed to the highest standards.

Braden M. Kreer

Renewable Design Engineer

Braden M. Kreer joined CMI Solar Electric, Inc. in 2011 with an extensive background in architectural, engineering and construction fields. He has a degree in Architectural Engineering from Delaware Technical and Community College and a degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Delaware.

Braden brings over 20 years of diversified experience, including electrical design, instrument design, architectural design, civil design and surveying, so he understands the importance of the many aspects that go into an ideal solar design. Braden also has experience in project management and estimating, which ensures that all projects are completed on time and within budget. He also has a few years of hands-on field experience, which gives him the practical knowledge to improve design and construct systems to be the most efficient and cost-effective.  Braden is a detail-oriented person with the highest integrity and work ethic, ensuring that projects are designed and completed to the high standards of CMI Solar Electric.

Vincent Coletta

Project Management

Vincent Coletta recently joined CMI Solar Electric, Inc. and brings more than 20 years of experience managing his own business and other building services companies in the for residential, commercial and industrial projects. His past experience provides CMI with quality skills in the project management of every aspect of our installations. Vince has managed 15-man crews on multiple commercial projects.

Vince's responsibilities include assisting management with the electrical and solar crews, as well as providing expert roofing and building advice on commercial and residential projects. He works as field supervisor to ensure projects are completed to the high standards of CMI Solar Electric.

Tanya W. Breck

Director of Sales and Marketing

Tanya W. Breck has been with CMI Solar Electric since 2009, providing sales and management of residential and commercial solar projects. With more than 15 years of management and project management experience, she provides liaison with clients, contractors and project supervisors. She offers outstanding organizational procedures for project initiation and completion. In addition to ongoing client services, she is responsible for preliminary presentations with potential residential and commercial customers and assists with the execution of initial project requirements.

Tanya's responsibilities include developing the CMI marketing plan for the regional business market, as well as increasing marketplace recognition.

Becky Van Pelt

Office Manager

Becky Van Pelt joined CMI in 2010 as our Office Manager. Prior to joining CMI, Becky was the Operations Manager for a local Charter School and worked for more than eight years in the non-profit sector, focusing on public education reform in Delaware.

Becky brings more than 15 years of customer service, office and project management experience.

In her current role, Becky is focused on managing our finance department in addition to supporting the executive management team. She also supports the work of the Delaware Solar Energy Coalition (DSEC), a membership group organized to support the Solar Industry in Delaware. Becky received her B.B.A. from Wesley College.

Key Solar Electrical Team Members

Sean McLaughlin has been an employee at CMI Solar Electric, Inc. since June 2007. He has taken the NABCEP Entry Level certificate training and will be testing for his certificate this year. Sean has worked on all types of residential and commercial solar PV projects.

Robert Sligh has been an employee at CMI Solar Electric, Inc. since October 2005. He has taken the NABCEP Entry Level certificate training and will be testing for his certificate this year. Bobby is a Journeyman-level electrician and has worked on all types of residential and commercial solar installation projects.

Morgan Figgs has been with CMI Solar Electric since May 2009. He is NABCEP Entry Level Certified. Morgan will be sitting for his NABCEP certification this year. Morgan is a Journeyman-level electrician and has extensive knowledge in various types of installations from residential to commercial solar PV.

Enrique Yagual has been an employee at CMI Solar Electric, Inc. since June 2008. He is a Mechanic-level installer and has worked on all types of residential and commercial solar PV projects. Enrique will be taking the NABCEP Entry Level Photovoltaic Certificate class this year.

Dan Meyers has been an employee at CMI Solar Electric, Inc. since September 2005. Dan is a registered Journeyman electrician and has extensive knowledge in all facets of electrical, solar and generator work.  He will be taking the NABCEP Entry Level Photovoltaic Certificate class this year.

John Allen has been an employee at CMI Solar Electric, Inc. since June 2009. He has been working on residential and commercial installations since he started with the company. He has extensive knowledge of our computer Web monitoring for solar installations.
