How
will installing a Solar Electric System help the environment?
The generation of electricity is the number one source
of industrial air pollution in the nation today. It
produces about 66% of annual sulfur dioxide emissions,
which are a major contributor to acid rain, and to
illnesses and deaths caused by air pollution. In addition,
30% of nitrogen oxides (a main component of smog)
and 33% of carbon dioxide emissions come from electric
generation. Carbon dioxide is the leading cause of
global warming. By using renewable energy you work
immediately to improve the environment for you, your
children, and future generations. A single household
that switches to 100% renewable electricity is reducing
pollution by an amount equivalent to planting 800
new trees or not driving 44,352 miles.

How will installing a Solar Electric System
help my budget?
By now we've all heard of the 60% rate hike, or actually
seen its effect on our bill. By installing a CMI Electric
Solar System now you can immediately reduce, even eliminate
your bill, and protect your budget from future increases.
There are excellent solar power incentive programs
available in both Delaware and Pennsylvania that will
pay for 50% of the cost of your solar system. Additional
Federal Tax credits can reduce your costs even more!
Environmental Benefit FAQs
- Photovoltaic Systems installed by CMI Electric
produce 520,000 kWh of energy each year.
- In Delaware it would prevent the generation of:
Carbon Dioxide 1,296,883 lbs./year; Sulfur Dioxide
10,104 lbs./year; Nitrogen Oxides 27,456 lbs./year
- This amount of carbon dioxide is equivalent to
emissions from
driving 1,440,981 miles in an average U.S. passenger
car each year.
Why should I choose CMI Electric for my solar
electric system installation?
CMI Electric provides turn key installations of solar
electric (photovoltaic) power systems that are fully
integrated with your existing power system. We provide
and install systems in both Delaware and Pennsylvania
We handle the permits, rebate approvals, coordination
with your local power company, inspections, and all
of the associated paperwork.
We are the area's dealer for GE Energy, giving us ready
access to the best equipment available.
Along with being experienced photovoltaic integrators,
we are also professional electricians. We not only
make sure your system functions as designed, we also
know the correct methods and materials to use to insure
an installation that lasts. Other company's "Installers" do
most of your wiring, then have to get a licensed electrician
who is willing to just do the hookups into your panel.
This means the high voltage wiring has been done by
someone with an unknown level of training and experience.
We do not use subcontractors or casual help. All of
the people working at your property will be full time
CMI employees. They are trained by us and covered by
our worker's compensation and liability insurance. This
allows us to best control the quality of your installation
and also protects you in the unlikely event something
goes wrong.
